Our original intent with this site was to share some of our interests…our home, our animals, our arts and crafts, our family, cooking. We really are Kudzu Cottage here…somewhere between Southern Living and Duck Dynasty.

We live in a beautiful, small town in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains. Our cottage is a work in progress, as with every other house we’ve ever owned. We share our home with five kitties. They are:

Also, we have a little boy, BC, short for Black Cat.  My husband named him. He is still a little camera shy. Heck, he is still a little people shy but we are working on it.

A few years ago, at a hotel, I stumbled across a ‘hook-in’ and fell in love with Wool Rug Hooking. I’ve always loved natural fabrics and pretty much anything handmade. I love yard sales and thrift shops. I also love to draw. This just kind of put everything into play!  The people that I have ‘met’ (mostly on-line but some were actually in person!) have been warm, open, and so willing to share their knowledge with a novice.

Still, there are few enough people that teach this art/craft that it can be tricky finding resources and people to teach you. I thought it would be nice to share my thoughts and some of the things I learn along the way.
